"We stayed at the homestay so we did not get food from their cafe as it is closed until June while Ah Ping works on a book for Pekan Nanas. Regardless, still 5 stars for food recommendations as Ah Liang was super keen to share with us plant-based options in town. I love being in Ah Ping and Ah Liang’s space. I get to enjoy their collection, creative outlets and how their both interest fuse together. I especially like their hand-drawn maps and recommendations for nature spaces to check out. Thank you Ah Liang for being so thoughtful and checking in on our journey. Ah Ping was very kind to light a mosquito coil for our sleep as well. I like the high ceiling and well-ventilated housing. It is a wonderful break from the city life and I cannot recommend enough!"

"First time here but won’t be the last… prefer the chillax laid back vibe of this place to the commercial cafes. If u are the kind with no time to waste n in a rush, this is not for u - it’s manned by a husband n wife duo so good things will have to wait ya~. Interesting selection of coffee - durian coffee was surprising nice, gonna try pineapple coffee next time - and a wide variety of cookies!"

"Had a lovely stay at this charming rural homestay! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The place has a beautiful vintage vibe—well maintained and full of character, like staying at your grandma’s house in the countryside. Just a small heads-up: there are mosquitoes around though hose will light up natural mosquito repellent. Coffee station was closed during our stay, hope we can pay a visit and enjoy their coffee next time."

"A Peaceful Retreat with Authentic Kampung Charm My family and I stayed here for one night, and it was a refreshing escape from the fast-paced city life. The hosts were warm and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home. The lodging was clean and beautifully captures that authentic kampung atmosphere - a far cry from sterile hotel rooms. What we loved most was the quiet, unhurried pace. It’s the perfect place to slow down, reflect, and truly soak in the simplicity of kampung living. Eateries are within walking distance, adding to the convenience without disrupting the tranquil setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect and experience a different side of Johor."

"Nice relaxing place to chill out. Enjoyed chatting with the hosts and sharing a few laughs. We got some lovely pottery coffee cups with a wabi sabi inspired vibe . Thanks for the hospitality!"

"A heaven on its own with lots of interesting antique stuff everywhere. It is not like the usual modern cafe many will go to. The owners Ah Ping and Ah Liang are very polite and friendly. They will ask you to place orders first before heading for your seats. There is a homestay too. May have mosquitoes, but we got bitten quite a bit."

"The friendliness of the hosts (Ah Ping and Ah Liang) really puts the "home" in homestay. From the name plate at the room door to lighting mosquito coil before bed, we really felt taken care of staying here. The common spaces in the house (also used by cafe) are very nicely decorated and feel very comfortable and chill, with the THREE cute dogs staying at the house. Cafe also serves pretty nice drinks. Only complaint I have is for the toilet with weak flushing."

"Suitable for those really want to slow down and enjoy chit chatting moment with friends or family. Serving time will be slightly longer. The decorations is very retro and unique. Other than coffee and homestay, they also held some handcraft activities occasionally."
